Advantage of planetary gear motors.

In a spur gearbox, there is only one gear to gear load transfer, while in a planetary gearbox, there are usually 3 or more gears transferring the load to the final output shaft., this will distribute the load better, and cause less wear on gears overall extending the lifespan of the motors, especially install situation. Therefore, Planetary gear motors usually will be recommended when high torque is needed and stall may happen, though they are much more expensive than spur gear motors.
